HOW WE DO IT
Following our initial design consultation with our clients, our first port of call is to get hunting for furniture & materials! With a combined experience of over a decade in furniture restoration & retail, the founders at Recoup have a wide range of contacts around the country, where we source & scavenge for all manner of goods! From attending auctions on the hunt for multiples of chairs, through to rummaging barns in hope of finding niche-sized cabinets, & everything in-between, if we can’t find what you need, it isn’t there to be found! With this in mind, we offer as close of a representation of what is a realistic expectation of the products we can provide for each business, though this can be subject to some small changes due to the nature of working outside of a factory-modelled furniture business.

From this stage, we take everything to our workshop, where each and every piece is restored either to its original condition, or in line with a pre-determined repurposing or redesign. This can sometimes be as simple as waxing a piece of furniture, or sometimes feel closer to a timber jigsaw, rather than rebuilding a piece of furniture. No matter which end of the scale each job may land, we ensure that by the time each piece leaves our workshop, it will be ready to be re-loved by our clients & back in use for years to come.
